Madaline (Pereira) Botelho, age 84 of Swansea and formerly of Fall River passed away December 22, 2012. She was the daughter of the late Manuel and Angela (Pimentel) Pereira in Fall River. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Herman (Chick) Botelho. Mrs. Botelho leaves two daughters, whom she was infinitely proud of, Sandra Ouellette and her husband Steven of Warren, RI and Madeline Benard and her husband Gilbert of Swansea, who were her caretakers for many years. She also leaves 2 granddaughters who were her world, Darcie Ouellette Coffey and her husband (Vavo’s buddy) James of Warwick, RI and Madelynn Benard, her “astral twin”, who was exactly 70 years younger than her, of Swansea, MA. She joins a great-grandchild in heaven as she reunites with all of her passed loved ones. We on Earth have gained a new angel. She is also survived by her brother John Pereira (wife Bea) and sister Alice Caron (husband Robert). She leaves many nieces and nephews who undoubtedly miss “Tia Madaline.” She also leaves extended family and friends. Her funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. 1521 N. Main St., Fall River Thursday at 9 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Stanislaus Church at 10 A.M. Serafina (Borges) Rapoza, age 96 of Swansea passed away January 24, 2013. Born in Fall River, she was the widow of Joseph F. Rapoza and daughter of the late Alexander and Maria Conceicão Borges. She was a leather turner having worked at Gamma Leather Goods and various other mills prior to retiring to care for her mother. Sarah was a former member of the council on aging, volunteered for the meals on wheels program and at the town beach. Sarah enjoyed going out to breakfast, telling jokes, watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy but most of all spending time with her family. Serafina is survived by her son Joseph F. Rapoza Jr. of Swansea, grandson Mark and his wife Jessica, four great grandchildren Alexander, Benjamin, Nicholas and Maxwell Rapoza of North Dighton.
